My Brother SE400 Pressing All the Right Buttons

My beloved Brother SE400 certainly presses all the right buttons for me! I am completely addicted to transforming garments, items of clothing – or indeed any item that could have buttons sewn on it! It is absolutely amazing exactly how much it completely changes the look of something and gives it a new lease of life, literally from just changing the buttons! BUT not just any buttons! I didn’t know these existed until recently. You can buy buttons that you then can cover with a fabric of your choice. I believe they are used all the time on bridal dresses. However, along with my embroidery machine, I embroider tiny motifs onto the fabric first, cut it out to the correct size and then cover my button, giving a totally unique look. The latest ones were pretty white daisies with a yellow centre, embroidered onto lemon fabric. These were sewn onto the front of my nieces summer dress and I made her a matching headband with a row of the daisy buttons across the entire length of the band! Ladybirds next!!

A Brief on Chinese Celebrations

The Chinese lanterns have been embraced in the western culture. However, the chinese lanterns date way back with warriors using them to send signals in times of war. On the fifteenth day of the first month of the year the lantern festival is held, which is according to the Chinese calendar that comes along with the full moon. Throughout this festival, children move traditional Chinese lanterns to temples. Once they get there they start solving riddles, and then let go of them as well as watch the exhibit as numerous lanterns drift away. The flame often symbolizes knowledge. According to the Chinese, families and love ones are supposed to come together and celebrate the New Year as a whole. There are a big number of people who believe that lanterns take away troubles and worries as they bring in luck. As they celebrate this festival some other regions considered it to be equivalent to Valentine’s Day, through couples celebrating their love and times spent together.

Scentsy Will Let Me Work on My Music

See, I work with computers but what I have always wanted to do is sell that scentsy stuff on the side so that I could write music at night. I have always loved listening to music and though I have not performed in front of a lot of people, everyone who hears me sing says that I am the best they have ever heard. I do not expect to sell a million records right away, but I bet that if I got a demo off the ground it would be really appealing to some music executives. I really like the idea of selling these scentsy products because it will give me a chance to make my own schedule when I am trying to book a music gig or write my own work. Since I do not have children, I can spend as much time as I want getting my music career off of the ground. I just hope that between selling this stuff and my music that I will be able to make a decent living. I still stay at home with my parents so I do not think that will change any time soon. I like to think of it as being responsible with my money rather than still being that person that lives with her mom and dad. Besides, I know they like me being around. They are getting older and my brother and sister live so far away that they enjoy the time they do get to spend with me. I like being able to make them dinner on occasion and they let me use their basement for all of my music making and song writing. It is a good think that those walls are pretty thick.
